2026 Keynote Presentation
Extrapulmonary High-Grade Neuroendocrine Neoplasms: Emerging Data on Management of Early-Stage and Advanced Disease
Keynote Speaker: Halfdan Sorbye, MD
Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 10:20 am – 11:20 am
Halfdan Sorbye, MD
Professor of Oncology, Haukeland University Hospital and University of Bergen, Norway
Halfdan Sorbye, MD, is Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine at the University of Bergen and Senior Consultant and Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) and Gastrointestinal (GI) Section in the Department of Oncology at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, Norway.
Dr. Sorbye is internationally recognized for his contributions to the study and management of neuroendocrine neoplasms, with particular expertise in digestive neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC), neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), and metastatic colorectal cancer. His current research focuses on the molecular landscape of digestive neuroendocrine neoplasms and advancing evidence-based approaches to the care of patients with these rare and complex diseases.
In addition to his clinical and research leadership, Dr. Sorbye has played an active role in international collaborations and professional organizations dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine neoplasms. His work has helped advance the understanding of high-grade disease and continues to influence research and clinical practice worldwide.
Why This Keynote Matters
High-grade neuroendocrine neoplasms remain among the most challenging tumors to diagnose and treat. As new molecular insights, clinical evidence, and therapeutic approaches continue to emerge, clinicians are faced with increasingly complex treatment decisions.
In this year's keynote presentation, Dr. Sorbye will share the latest research, practical clinical insights, and future directions that are shaping the management of early-stage and advanced extrapulmonary high-grade neuroendocrine neoplasms, providing attendees with knowledge they can immediately apply to patient care.
